The Patty Pan varieties are very popular – especially with children who love the bright colours and the small size. We supply lots of summer birthday parties with these healthy treats. They can be grilled whole with a light dressing of olive oil and your favourite spice. I usually recommend that folks cook them until they are “ugly” as a bit of overcooking (grilling) really enhances their flavour.
Did you know they are also wonderful steamed whole?
Enjoy these and the many more colourful varieties yet to come this summer.

When you say steam them whole, do you literally put them on with the skin and eat the skin? Or do you need to steam or roast them and then peel the skin off and eat the flesh inside? Thanks for the clarification.
No need for peeling. The skin is soft and edible.
