This year, we decided to break away for the Music Garlic tradition and try some different varieties – like Red Russian and the very spicy, Bogatyr.
Garlic in now in the baskets and we hope to store it well into the winter. We generally give each basket one bulb each week – but one each week for many weeks amounts to quite a bit. Certified Organic Garlic this year is always very expensive, but the flavour is intoxicating! When we first started Bryson Farms, we were the only farm with Music garlic – now everyone grows it – not only for its great flavour, but also its good storage ability.
More varieties are to come – including a very rare Yukaslavian variety which is very strong! Let us know what you think of the garlic this year as this helps us plan for next year.
These garlic cloves are awesome – Big – Beautiful and Tasty. We’d eat as many as you would send us.
I loved your music garlic but am now very excited to try the new varieties!
Thanks for the garlic! Feel free to send me more than one head, as we love garlic in our home! 🙂
I haven’t received any garlic. And I am a serious garlic lover. Is this extra or am I just missing out?
Garlic is very expensive this year due to the drought….so the baskets will not contain garlic each week…..and it is possible that some biweeklies could miss out entirely!! But hopefully not. The flavour is outstanding! We are thrilled with the new varieties. And remember, we store garlic all winter long!!
