This is the only yellow bean we grow and we grow this variety because of it’s tenderness and delightful “yellow bean” flavour. We do not grow those enormous yellow wax beans which run rampant at area markets at this time of year! We think you will like this one! Tender and flavourful. We love to just steam them!!
love them!
Can’t wait!
Hello BF, we received our first basket this week (July 31st, 2013). It included lots of interesting greens, amazing tasting tomatoes, new potatoes and other assorted veggies. One of the interesting things here is that we are received fresh produce that we wouldn’t normally purchase, for example, Swiss Chard. Now this is a good thing because it’s making us search for recipes and allows us to try new healthy vegetables that we wouldn’t normally purchase. I now know that Swiss Chard sautĂ©ed in olive oil and garlic, tossed with a little lemon juice is a delicious side dish. 🙂
One thing that may helpful for customers (especially newbies like us), is to provide labelling on some of the more exotic items. There a still few things in our basket that we aren’t sure what they are. At first I thought we received beet tops until I confirmed (via the web) that we had Swiss Chard. This is simply a suggestion to help alleviate some confusion.
Looking forward to our next basket. Thank you Bryson Farms for all the hard work in producing this wonderful food.
Thanks so much! There is a huge amount of labour which goes into every basket.
Unfortunately, labeling is very time-consuming and costly. So we rely on our Customer Blog for a detailed description of possible basket contents.
And we are always just seconds away be email!
